The investment objective of the Fund is to achieve superior investment returns over the long term. Although the Fund has a global mandate, the firm generally specializes in emerging and frontier markets, including the markets of the Middle East, Emerging Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe and Africa.

Hermitage Global employs a multi-disciplinary analytical approach designed to identify mis-pricings in the valuations of companies or instruments globally, relying in particular on Hermitage Capital's in-house forensic research ability both to source new opportunities and to articulate the investment case for a given position. The firm looks for companies that are out of favor, not widely covered by sell-side research analysts or otherwise overlooked by the marketplace. Hermitage Global may also include activist opportunities, where there is the potential to create value through improved corporate governance; better representation of minority shareholders’ interests on the board of directors or otherwise; and major business events, including corporate or financial restructurings, divestitures, changes of top management, or strategic reorientations.
